## Meet Kirby — Your Easygoing Best Friend
Looking for a dog who already knows how to fit into your life? **Meet Kirby**, an 8-year-old neutered Pit Bull mix who will turn 9 in December. He is sweet, smart, easygoing, and wonderfully low-key.
Kirby is one of those dogs who just seems to understand how life works. He listens well, knows his daily routine, and patiently waits in his spot when it is time for food or treats. He is **house-trained, crate-trained, comfortable home alone**, and does well when visitors come over.
Most of the time, Kirby is perfectly happy just hanging out with his people. He is a **low-energy, relaxed companion** who enjoys attention, affection, and a comfortable place to lounge. He doesn’t need to be entertained every minute of the day — he is happy simply being part of your life.
But Kirby isn’t ready to give up his adventures! He still loves going for hikes, exploring outside, and splashing around in streams. He is also an excellent car companion and has been known to sit in the passenger seat like a person, ready to see where you are taking him next.
Kirby is gentle with adults and children and has previously lived with cats. He has even been known to curl up on a dog bed with his feline friends.
He also loves playtime with his humans and soaking up plenty of love and attention. At 8, almost 9, Kirby offers a wonderful combination: mature enough to be settled and easy to live with, but still very much interested in enjoying life. He loves playtime with his humans, followed by plenty of relaxing and attention at home.
One thing we do manage carefully is high-value toys around other dogs. A previous adopter reported a conflict with another dog involving tennis balls. We were not given many details and have not recreated that situation, so we simply recommend not having dogs share tennis balls or other especially valued toys.
Kirby has spent far too much time waiting for someone to notice what a wonderful dog he is. We would love to see him spend his next chapter in a home of his own — going on an occasional adventure, getting spoiled by his humans, and then coming home to relax beside the people he loves.

Kirby, Bo, and Gypsy are just wonderful dogs who have been with us for a long time now and we would love to find them a home before the holidays so they can celebrate with a family to call their own.
Kirby (brown lab/pit mix male) is around 4 years old, house-trained, crate-trained, good at home alone or with visitors in the home. He loves card rides, is a lot of fun on hikes and playing in streams. He is gentle around kids and adults. Has lived with cats and not shown any interests in them. He loves playing fetch but does not like to share balls with other dogs.
Bo (black lab/Great Dane mix male) is around 3 years old and gets along with everyone - adults, kids, dogs, cats. He is friendly, loves going on car rides, play with other dogs, especially in a game of chase or race around the yard. He does not like to be confined to a crate or small room, he wants to be where his people are.
Gypsy (black Shepherd female) is around 8 years old, she still enjoys outdoor activities whether that be car rides, hiking, run or walk around the yard. She loves to play with puppies! She would do best in a home with previous GSD experience as she needs human leadership to help her be on her best behavior. She has a strong play personality and likes to boss dogs around.

Kirby is almost 4 years old, house-trained, crate-trained, good at home alone or with visitors in the home. He is a lot of fun on hikes and playing in streams. He is gentle around kids and adults. Has lived with cats and not shown any interests in them.
Kirby is smart, has manners, and knows commands. Enjoys playing with toys and games of fetch. Kirby is good around other dogs but he doesn't like to share tennis balls with others. He likes to play fetch one-on-one with his humans.
Kirby is located in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area, out of state adoption is possible. Please share and help Kirby find his forever home.

Kirby is almost 4 years old and around 60lbs. He is a smart and loyal companion, overall a wonderful dog who knows when it is time for bed and will get into his crate on his own. He will sleep in his crate with the door open or he is good sleeping on your bed next to you as well.
He is playful with other dogs but does not like to share tennis balls with other dogs. He is great in the house and is ready for the start of summer with you outside walking on new trails or play in water. He is gentle around kids and adults. Has lived with cats and not shown any interests in them.

He is playful with other dogs but does not like to share tennis balls with them. He is great in the house and LOVES to be outside walking on new trails or play in any streams he come across. He has been gentle around kids and adults. Has lived with cats and not shown any interests in them.

Kirby is around 3.5 years old and 60 pounds of pure handsome! He is part Golden Retriever and American Staffordshire Terrier but 100% smart boy having completed the beginner and intermediate obedience classes at PetSmart. He walks well on a leash but also likes to stop and smell the flowers or leave a note for the next dog.
He is playful with other dogs but does not like to share tennis balls with them. He is very obsessed with balls, will run and jump in the air to catch them. We don’t recommend having another dog around him if balls are involved as he is so obsess with them that he will become protective of balls.
He is great in the house and LOVES to be outside walking on new trails or play in any streams he come across. He has been gentle around kids and adults. Has lived with cats and not shown any interests in them.
